A heat transfer oil is a gas or liquid specifically manufactured to transmit heat from one application to another. This branch of science and engineering involves the transfer of heat via a liquid or vapour temperature, flow rate, phase transition, pressure, volume, and density all play an important role. Heating oil and diesel fuel are closely related petroleum products called distillates. Heating oil is sold mainly for use in boilers and furnaces (for space heating) and in water heaters.
Heat Transfer Oils contain base oils and other additives such as mineral oils, heat transfer oil additives, pour point depresssant (PPD), antifoam agent and etc. It can be used all ingredients above or some of them during production of heat transfer oils. Heat Transfer Oil is important in lubricating oils and heat transfer oils. It should be high quality for effectivity and ecenomical for customers.
Making heat transfer oils are not difficult and even easy. There is need a heated mixer boiler and required ingredients that is base oils and additives. When consider to make heat transfer oils, there is a need for a good and usable formulation that will be guide every steps of production. This formulation is needed in order to decide which ingredients and in what quantites should be used for manufacturing of heat transfer oils.
