Monoethylene glycol or monoethylene glycol (MEG) is a practically colorless liquid, odorless, viscous organic compound that is miscible with water, alcohol, ether, acetone, and ethylene glycol. Monoethylene glycol is an organic compound used as an antifreeze and precursor for polymers. In its pure state, monoethylene glycol is a pale, odorless, toxic liquid with a sweet taste.
